Xiaomi has launched Xiaomi Mi Notebook Youth Edition, its latest notebook, in China. It is a watered down version of the latest generation of Mi Notebook, powered by the eighth generation Core i7 processor. Xiaomi Mi Notebook Youth Edition has been priced at about RMB 4,599, which roughly translates to Rs 48,300. As of now, there’s no word whether the laptop will be launched outside China or not. It is a powerful yet budget-friendly Intel Core i5 processor as well as a 2GB discreet mobile graphics card powers the notebook computer.
Specifications of Mi Notebook Youth Edition
The Xiaomi Mi Notebook Youth Edition features a 15.6-inch full-HD display with a resolution of 1920×1080 pixels and is powered by an eighth-generation Intel Core i5 processor, coupled with Nvidia GeForce MX110 graphics along with 2GB discrete memory and 8GB of RAM. There is 128GB of SSD that is accompanied by 1TB of hard drive. And it runs on Windows 10.
There is an independent digital keyboard and for sounds, the company has employed 3W high-power speakers for an immersive multimedia experience. To ensure the laptop stays cool during the extended sessions, Xiaomi has embedded a powerful dual-fan cooling system. The system not only has two fans to pump in more air into the laptop but also includes two separate air outlets for better air distribution. Connectivity options on the Youth Edition include an Ethernet port, HDMI port, two USB 3.0 ports, and a headphone jack. For quick removal storage, the laptop features a three-in-one card reader as well. Furthermore, the Mi Notebook Youth Edition comes with 19.9mm of thickness.
The Youth Edition appears to be a slightly toned down version of the Mi notebook Pro available in two color variants: Black and White. The laptop will first launch in China allowing sales within the next two weeks.
