When it comes to gaming, we all know PC is king if you want to achieve the best graphics from your system and also have the best experience. However, not everyone can afford an awesome gaming rig or have the capabilities to have one in their dorm room. We are often on the move or live in a dormitory where it is virtually impossible to build a PC. Over the past year, some of the most powerful laptops that deliver a great gaming experience have launched in India. These laptops have incredibly powerful GPUs and some attract a hefty price tag as well. Many brands such as Dell, HP, ASUS and Acer have launched their gaming laptops for the Indian market. Here are our top picks of laptops that we feel are good enough for a kickass gaming experience:
1. Dell Inspiron 15 7567 Gaming
Dell is the same company that makes Alienware laptops and rest assured, they brought over that expertise to their Inspiron lineup as well. The Inspiron 15 7567 is currently our favourite gaming laptop that does not cost an arm. It has an Intel Core i7-7700 processor coupled with 11Ish 6GB RAM and a 256GB SSD. In addition, it also has a 1TB HDD for storing files and games. The laptop is powered by an NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1050ti with 4GB GDDR5 VRAM. Among all the laptops from our list, this device also offers incredible battery life that is not the case with gaming laptops.

2. ASUS ROG Zephyrus GX 501
The ASUS ROG Zephyrus GX 501 is probably the latest offering from the company that has blown minds away with its performance. Seriously, this laptop is nuts when it comes to delivering a great gaming experience. The laptop is probably the most expensive gaming laptop on our list, but it does a fairly good job. It has a 15.6-inch full-HD display and is powered by the 7th generation Intel Core i7 processor, Nvidia’s GeForce GTX 1080 GPU and 16GB of RAM. The laptop comes with a hefty price tag i.e. Rs 2,99,999. Sure many will complain that one can make an amazing gaming PC rig for that price, however, if you are always on the move and still want to play your games with high-quality graphics, you should consider this as an option.

3. HP Omen 17
The HP Omen 17 is one of the most underrated gaming laptops on the list. One doesn’t necessarily associate HP with a gaming laptop brand however the Omen 17 is a powerful VR ready gaming laptop. The device is powered by 7th generation Intel Core i7 7700HQ Quad Core processor having a clock speed of 2.8 GHz with Turbo Boost up to 3.8 GHz. 6. ASUS ROG GX501 Zephyrus
Removing all the bulk from gaming laptops was the theme of 2017 and it continues to be the trend of 2018 as we see more and more laptops featuring NVIDIA’s MAX-Q technology. The ASUS ROG GX501 is one such laptop featuring a GTX 1080 MAX-Q GPU along with the Intel Core i7 7700HQ. It is the world’s first MAX-Q laptop and comes in a really thin form factor. However, there have been very few compromises with the GX501 since we see a 1 TB NVMe SSD and a beefy 50 Wh battery in the unit.
Price: Rs 272,999
7. Acer Triton 700
The second MAX-Q laptop to enter the market this year is the Acer Triton 700. It has a similar configuration as the GX501 but sports a very unique touchpad design that we have never seen before. Thanks to NVIDIA MAX-Q, the Triton 700 is a lean and mean gaming machine with a touch of flare thanks to the see through glass window on the top. Unlike the GX501, the Triton 700 comes with 2x 512 GB NVMe SSDs, and both are priced the same.
8. ASUS ROG G701VI
The first thing you’re going to notice about the ASUS ROG G701 is the 120 Hz display it sports. This is the best GTX 1080 laptop we’ve seen so far in the country and it’s built to last as well. The advantage that the G701 has over other GTX 1080 laptops is that it sports a RAID 0 NVMe SSD setup. Other than that, this is powered by an Intel Core i7 7820HK CPU.

9. Asus ROG GX800
Little needs to be said about the ASUS ROG GX800. It was a worthy successor to the GX700 bringing the power of two GTX 1080 GPUs in SLI coupled with an Intel Core i7 7820HK. The flagsip CPU and GPU were supported by NVMe SSDs in RAID 0 giving rise to data transfer speeds completely unheard of in consumer laptops. The GX800 comes with its own water cooling attachment to push the two GTX 1080s to their limit.

10. MSI GE73VR 7RF Raider
MSI has the GE73VR 7RF that packs a Core i7 7700HQ with a normal GTX 1070.
