Over the past couple of years, some Android device manufacturers decided that 4GB of RAM is not enough on a smartphone, so they pushed the envelope by bumping the RAM to 6GB and even 8GB. Until today, 8GB was considered the biggest memory capacity in a mobile phone. But, Chinese manufacturer OPPO decided that even 8GB is not enough. According to the updated TENAA listing for the OPPO Find X, there will soon be an OPPO Find X with 10GB of RAM. As you may have guessed, this marks the first time anyone has ever put a 10GB RAM inside a phone.
The OPPO Find X comes with the Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 system-on-chip, up to 256GB storage, 3,730 mAh battery with VOOC fast charging support, and most importantly, a pop-up camera. This last addition gives the phone’s display a truly immersive look by ditching the notch and bezel. Also, the mechanism is kinda cool, so there’s that. Some of you may want to keep in mind that the OPPO Find X doesn’t have a fingerprint scanner of any kind as it only comes with the built-in face-recognition.
This 10GB variant of the Oppo Find X is listed on Chinese certification website TENAA, first spotted by Twitter user Ice Universe in a tweet. It appears to have a smaller 3,645mAh battery unit, but there is no word on whether this variant will support regular VOOC or Super VOOC charging standards. Apart from that, specifications seem to match the existing models of the Find X. To recall, the Oppo Find X comes at a starting price of CNY 4,999 in China and goes all the way up to EUR 1,699 for the Limited Lamborghini Edition with 512GB storage. In India, the smartphone has been priced at Rs. 59,990 for the lone 8GB RAM/ 256GB inbuilt storage model.

The TENAA listing suggests that the new version of the device will only come with bigger RAM. Everything else is basically the same, both on the inside and the outside. Unfortunately, we don’t know anything about the release date or the price of the device. We’ll make sure to update you as soon as we have new information about the device, so stay tuned.
