Union Communications Minister Manoj Sinha on Thursday announced that the Indian telecom industry will present one million WiFi hotspots in the country by December next year. “India Wi-Fi, a country-wide common inter-operative platform of over one lakh Wi-Fi hotspots, which is owned and operated by telecom service providers, Internet service providers and virtual network operators, will be launched across the country, “Said an official statement.
